The Raas Lila is an experience delving deeper into the cultural heritage of Assam and celebrated in the river Island of Majuli. A performing festival celebrated during the full moon nights involving the Mishing tribe and sprinkled with experiences of Assam and its heritage along the way.

The Raas Lila is an annual festival being performed on the full moon night in the months of October-November. It is not known for certain in which Sattra Rasa Lila was first introduced in Majuli as a performing festival. The Raas Lila is the story of the life of Lord Krishna presented in the performing art form. Raas is a part of Neo-Vaishnav culture of Vaishnavite sect of Hinduism which was started by the medieval saint Srimanta Sankardev. Monks perform the dances wearing colourful costumes. Some scenes are also performed by the village troupes, children and local musicians.
